BENEFITS OF MEAL PLANNING
Each week I plan my meals for the following week, this is called meal or menu planning. Some think it’s not worth it, but it really is a simple task that takes 5-10 minutes to plan one week of meals. The money and time that these five minutes save me throughout my week, makes it well worth the effort.

MONDAY
Macaroni and Cheese – A delicious Mac ‘N Cheese recipe that has pieces of crispy bacon and a topping of crunchy garlic bread – the perfect dish to cook up with the kids in the kitchen.
TUESDAY
Tray Baked Nachos – Nachos is a meal that is normally a hit with everyone of all ages. This tray baked recipe looks absolutely delish!
WEDNESDAY
Potato and Leek Soup – I think we are definitely in soup weather now. There’s something so satisfying about a delicious soup paired with a yummy crusty bread after a cooler day.
THURSDAY
Recipe – Veal Schnitzel and Steamed Veggies – I bought our schnitzels ready-made from the supermarket and paired them with some simple steamed veggies. If you’re feeling more adventurous though, you could try your hand at this recipe below which looks quite quick and simple. Plus it can be made with either pork, veal or chicken.
FRIDAY
Chorizo Burgers – I love the flavour of chorizo, and it always adds something special to the dish when I cook with it. These chorizo burgers sound rather special, and I’m looking forward to trying this recipe.
SATURDAY
Chicken Caesar Salad – Even though the weather is cooler, I still often want the freshness and crunch of a salad. A chicken Caesar salad is the perfect middle ground with the warm chicken, bacon and egg with the fresh crunchy cos lettuce. For a quick shortcut you could use a supermarket hot chook and a pre-made dressing.
SUNDAY
Chunky Beef & Mushroom Pie– This beef and mushroom pie recipe topped with golden flaky puff pastry looks absolutely mouth watering. I’m going to serve it with some steamed greens on the side.
BAKING
Anzac Biscuits – I made some Anzac biscuits the other week for Anzac Day. They were all eaten so quickly, and I’ve been craving more ever since so I’m going to make up an extra big batch this time.
