I will be starting a new section on my blog dedicated to sharing book reviews and recommendations! Reading has become one of the best ways for me to slow down and recharge, especially after experiencing burnout. "Fear is not the enemy, but rather the catalyst for growth and bravery."

I have never been one to pick up a book for fun or to relax. In fact, you could say my relationship with reading has been non-existent. That was until I stumbled upon a little fantasy series called Fourth Wing.

Prior to reading this book, I typically enjoyed romance novels, but I kept seeing Rebecca Yarros’s Fourth Wing recommended everywhere. It’s a story about dragons, and to be honest, that didn’t particularly interest me. However, since I do love TV shows about vampires and witches and can’t forget Game of Thrones had dragons, I thought I would give it a go. The numerous glowing reviews also persuaded me to try it, and I’m so glad I did. I had never really experienced a book that captured my imagination to the point where I found myself lost in its world for days on end—until this book.

I love to tell everyone about this book because it marked the beginning of my newfound passion for reading. Immersing myself in its story truly helps calm my mind and brings me a sense of peace and enjoyment.

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros is a captivating novel that introduces readers to Violet Sorrengail, a young women who wants to pursue her dreams despite the odds stacked against her. Violet’s strength and ingenuity become increasingly evident as she navigates the challenges posed by her surroundings and the intricate dynamics of those around her.

Themes of resilience, love, loyalty and the fight for one’s dreams are intricately woven throughout the story, making it more fantasy than adventure.
