A fresh new blog design

 welcome blank

It has been quite a while in the planning, finally I get to reveal to you my new look logo and blog design.  It’s a completely new design, it’s fresh, crisp and so colourful, I absolutely love it and I hope you do too!!  Big thank you to Marie O’Neill Design+Illustration for the amazing new graphics!

I have updated many of the pages:

Recipes
easier to navigate all the different recipe categories, all recipes are split into easily identifiable sections.  View recipe section.

Start Here
if you are new to the blog, visit the start here section to read a little about me and learn how the blog works.

Organising by room
if you’re needing some inspiration for a particular room in your home, visit the organising by room page for a breakdown of rooms, click on the room of your choice to then view all the posts related to that room.

Categories
I have tidied up the categories which you will find in the top menu bar. Here you can find certain sections like, lunchbox ideas, cleaning tips and more.

Tip of the week
new to the blog is the tip of the week, each week I will change the tip in the top right corner of the blog.  If you have a tip you would like to share please email it to me, I’ll add your name and suburb along with it too!!

{The Organised Housewife} Recipe Organiser - Cooking 190The shop
the shop had a redesign earlier this year, however I have uploaded a new banner which looks really cool!  I am still working on the old users and orders, which unfortunately didn’t come across when I did the change over around new years.  I am working with a great team that have come up with a wonderful solution which I will share when it’s all complete.  Don’t forget the 20% discount off the recipe binder ends 31st March.

Facebook
the facebook page has a new look too, pop on over to check it out.  While you are there can you like a status or make a comment as a few people have been saying The Organised Housewife Facebook Page isn’t appearing in their feed, some times facebook thinks if you haven’t interacted (liked, shared or commented) on a post recently it will remove it from your feed (annoying I know).

Navigating the blog

  • Click on the pink text like this, these are links that will take you to further information about the topic being discussed.
  • Most of the images I use are also clickable, if you see an image of a muffin for example, click the image and it will take you to the recipe.

I would love some feedback please!!

if there is an area you think needs to be a little more user friendly, please let me know as I want this site to be really easy for you to use and navigate through.
