On the meal plan this week are so many meals that I am looking forward to eating! Inspiration hits sometimes when I am writing out my meal plan for the week, and I think of recipes that I am eager to cook and eat hahaha.  Read on below for some dinner inspiration for your family’s meal plan for the week.

BENEFITS OF MEAL PLANNING

Each week I plan my meals for the following week, this is called meal or menu planning. Some think it’s not worth it, but it really is a simple task that takes 5-10 minutes to plan one week of meals. The money and time that these five minutes save me throughout my week, makes it well worth the effort.

MONDAY

Sweet and Sour Pork with noodles– This recipe only takes 25 minutes to cook and bright and colourful and delicious!

TUESDAY

Sour Cream Pasta –A quick and easy dinner for those busy nights, packed with the delicious flavours of bacon, mushroom and leek.

WEDNESDAY

Tacos– Tacos are a firm favourite in our house. We generally have the standard fillings of lettuce, tomato, cheese and salsa, as they are our favourites. But check out the link below for some yummy filling ideas and recipes.

THURSDAY

Vietnamese Poached Chicken Salad  – This recipe has the delicious ingredients of chicken, bean sprouts, spring onions and herbs with roasted chopped nuts.

FRIDAY

Takeaway – We are having an easy night tonight. I’m planning to curl up on the couch with a good movie.

SATURDAY

Bacon, Leek & Corn Risotto – This risotto recipe is definitely a hearty melt-in-your-mouth meal! It’s so quick and easy to make too, and can be easily customised to suit your family’s tastes.

SUNDAY

Tandoori-style Roast Chicken – a flavour twist to your standard Sunday roast. Pre-marinate your chicken the night before for a full flavour punch.

BAKING

Banana Bread – If you have some old bananas to use up, this recipe is perfect. The flavour combo of maple syrup and bananas goes really well together.
