Easy Tropical Punch

When friends or family pop by for a visit, I love having something a little special ready to offer. We’re not big on alcohol in our home, so this easy tropical punch is my go-to for entertaining, it’s fruity, refreshing, and always a crowd-pleaser.

It takes just a few minutes to put together, but it looks beautiful in a jug or drink dispenser and tastes like sunshine in a glass. Whether it’s a weekend BBQ, birthday, or a casual afternoon catch-up, this punch is perfect for any occasion.

Memories of punch goes way back for me, it used to be my Aunty’s speciality every Christmas she would bring all her ingredients and make the kids our very own special drink!! My punch version is very simple.

Serving Tips:

  • Serve in clear glasses to show off the vibrant colours.
  • Add paper straws or fresh mint for an extra festive feel.
  • You can easily make this ahead of time. Just add the ice right before serving to keep it cold without diluting the flavours.

If serving in a 2L jug instead of a punch bowl, reduce the recipe to a little less than half, as adding ice will quickly fill the jug.

Great recipe! Punch was a big hit with our family and guests last Christmas. To make things more colourful, I made a big ice ring out of juice, fruits and mint leaves in a tupperware jelly ring mould…that way the punch doesn’t get diluted. I used a bowl last year and it was very pretty with the ice ring floating but I am very tempted to get one of these drink dispensers. Can I ask if the fruits get in the way of the punch flowing out of the tap?

Love this idea for Chrissy Day – we get champers so the kidetes should have a special drink, too.

I love simple things like this & fruit punch is always a hit. I use a similar recipe by changing one bottle of lemonade for a bottle of dry ginger ale. Its not quite so super sweet then. Thanks for the reminder though. I think I will make one for Chrissy day myself 🙂

I often make this for large functions but use Mineral water and dry ginger. It’s quite sweet enough and is appreciated by guests who are driving. Cranberry/pomegrate juice is a lovely base at Christmas

I too substitute dry ginger ale but only half a bottle to one and a half lemonade. I freeze juice in a container of a suitable size that will fit in top of dispenser to prevent the watered-down taste. Cut up mint also adds a fresh taste to the punch.
