Salted Caramel Sauce

Ooh I have a weakness and it is in the form of Salted Caramel.  I LOVE anything salted caramel, funnily enough I’ve never been a fan of plain caramel though.  The very clever Tenina, who is famous for her delicious Thermomix recipes sent me her recipe for Salted Caramel Sauce to share with you all.  My mouth watered as I read the recipe, it looked so simple so I thought I’d give it a try.  Keep reading for both regular and thermomix Salted Caramel Sauce recipes.

Salted Caramel Sauce

Ooh my golly gosh… I made this salted caramel sauce in the thermomix within minutes. I then let it cool for a few hours and we drizzled (was a lovely thin consistency as it was still slightly warm) over icecream later that night, it was ooh so good.

But… then I popped it in the fridge and it went really thick which was possibly even more delicious.  I tried to take a photo of the sauce on the spoon so you can see how thick it was, but I was very uncoordinated trying to take the photo and couldn’t really get it and made a big mess at the same time 🙂

Salted Caramel Sauce

This is so dangerous to have something so yummy sitting in the fridge.  My hubby isn’t one for sweet food, nor ice-cream for dessert, but he had this 2 nights in a row… it’s that good.

Thanks Kat! I made a double batch & added extra cream, 600ml in the
Double recipe to make it runny. Ideal, made 6 mini vintage milk bottles for gifts.

Hi, This sounds devine. How log can you keep it in the fridge ( assuming it lasts for more than one day)?

My favorite dance to this day on SYTYCD. Sonja is like a wizrard w/ her choreography…she’s my favorite & always? will be. Good music helps too….I have to admit it. But this was still a dance that stuck out forever.

My husband is going nuts for this sauce. He is asking me to make it almost fortnightly!! If the vanilla bean paste wasn’t so expensive I wouldn’t mind.
Thank you for both this and the salted caramel cake (hack). I made it for a family birthday party and the compliments were flying!!!
