#24 Odd Socks
I have mentioned before that I buy the kids plain white socks. No pretty patterns or extra colour’s on the heels, as if they lose a sock it doesn’t matter as it can be easily paired up with another plain white sock. I don’t pair socks together, each of the kids has a basket on their wardrobe floor holds their socks. More details HERE on kids wardrobe organisation.
Have you been holding onto your odd socks? Find a use for them or throw them away!
Uses for odd socks:
- Dust rags (easily slip on hand and dust away)
- Clean Walls
- Place over can or drink bottles to prevent cold drinks from dripping
- Camera or ipod pocket
- Cut the toes out and use as leg warmers or knee pads
- Mittens to keep babies hands warm or to stop scratching their face or sucking their thumb at night
- Make a sock puppet
- Keep games pieces together
- Make a cat toy
- Make your own shoe freshener using sock as pouch.
