- 2 tlb peanut oil
- 1 brown onion, sliced thin
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 750g beef strips
- ⅔ cup beef stock
- teaspoon cornflour
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1 tlb soy sauce
- 1 tlb hoisin sauce
- Heat ½ oil in fry-pan.
- Add onion and garlic, stir till soft, transfer to bowl.
- Add beef, stir fry until browned. Cook in batches if you
- aren’t in a hurry, beef will be more tender.
- Mix together 1 tablespoon of stock with cornflour. Combine
- mixture with remaining ingredients.
- Pour into pan and stir until sauce comes to a boil.
- Return beef and onion mixture to pan, stir until heated through.
- Serve with rice.
