A friend of mine introduced me to panko breadcrumbs. The best way to describe they are like a flaky breadcrumb with a crisp and crunchy end result. I added some panko crumbs to chicken tenderloins, oven baked them and they were so good! You can find step by step details below. Ooh and…. the kids loved them too!!
Panko crumbs can be found in the supermarket with the breadcrumbs.

Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 180C
- Line baking tray with baking paper
- Melt butter in microwave
- Add garlic to melted butter, stir
- In a glad ziplock bag combine panko and cheese
- Roll tenderlions in butter mixture, than place a few pieces into ziplock bag, shake. Continue with all tenderloin pieces
- Sprinkle remaining panko mixture onto tenderloins
- Bake in oven for 15 to 20 minutes

Thanks for sharing this recipe, I’ve always wondered about panko breadcrumbs, now I have an opportunity to try them! I think my three year old will like this recipe too! great substitute for chicken nuggets…
Hope he likes them. We do!
Just a hint, if you check in the asian aisle of your supermarket they are cheaper than if you buy them from the breadcrumb aisle!
Ooh thank for the tip, Kelly.:)
