My definition of purge – sell, donate, repurpose or throw away items as you see fit
Organise first aid supplies
I keep our first aid in the kitchen on the top shelf of the pantry. I find this is a central location, easy to get to in a hurry.
I have four boxes for first aid:
- Scripts
- Kids medication
- Adult medication
- Bandaid’s bandages etc.
What to put in a Basic First Aid Kit:
- Emergency contact info for local doctors and hospitals
- Cold pack
- Thermometer
- Medicine cups
- Pain reliever
- Cough medicine
- Antihistamine for hayfever and allergies
- Bandaid, variety of sizes
- Bandages, variety of sizes
- Tweezers
- Scissors
- Eye wash
- Antiseptic spray/cream
- Burn cream
- Tissues
- Cotton wipes
- After sun lotion (kept in fridge)
- First aid reference guide
Basic First Aid Kit Checklist
Todays task is to:
Go through your medicine cabinet or box and check the expiry dates on all items. Throw out all medication and that is out of date (good idea to hand them into the pharmacy so they can be destroyed in the right manner). Check your scripts and note those that have expired so you can get new scripts while next visiting the Dr, throw away all scripts you no longer need.
How many items have you been able to purge today?
I would like to see a photo of your purge pile on Instagram, use the hashtag #declutter52
