I began online grocery shopping about two years ago, and I don’t think I will ever go back to shopping in store! It saves me so much time, and I find it saves me money which is better for my grocery budget. I have actually got the whole process down to quite a fine art so it’s very quick and easy for me. Grocery shopping online has been a game-changer for me, helping to simplify my life that little bit more. Now with a Woolworths Delivery Unlimited subscription, I can have all of my groceries delivered free with any orders over $100. No matter how often I shop!

GET YOUR GROCERIES DELIVERED FOR FREE*

Woolworths are offering a FREE trial for 30 days when you sign up for Delivery Unlimited. This Delivery Unlimited service means you can get unlimited free deliveries on orders over $100, that are for a 3 hour delivery window for the Same Day you order!

I used to be a little reluctant to do all my grocery shopping online. I liked to touch and see the food I was buying, especially my fruit and veggies. I makes notes on my order, specifying what I want, if I want certain fruits ripe or firm etc. I’ve found the fresh quality to be great and you can tell it’s picked with care.  The personal shoppers will follow your notes, so you get exactly what you’re after.

The best part is that I feel like I have bonus time each week because I no longer do my routine trip to the supermarket on the weekend! For quite a while I was ordering my groceries online and collecting them from the store, but after a long day at work, I generally just want to go straight home and so the convenience of having them delivered to my home is wonderful.

Woolworths have a delivery subscription service that makes shopping and home delivery so much more affordable with free unlimited delivery on orders over $100 for most of the delivery options. So if you’re shopping weekly or more, you can make some significant savings on the delivery fees. With the different delivery window availability/options, you can arrange it to suit your life. I find I can nearly always get my groceries the same day or the next day.

This Delivery Unlimited service means you can get unlimited free deliveries on orders over $100, that are for a 3 hour delivery window for the Same Day you order. With this service you also get reduced fees on the Delivery Now option and the scheduled 1 hour window Same Day Delivery option. Min spend $100. T&Cs apply

PLUS Woolworths are offering The Organised Housewife community the chance to win a $500 WISH eGift Card if you subscribe before 03/09/2021 AND comment on this blog post, see details below.

Try it for 30 days and if you love it as much as I do, Delivery Unlimited is a great way to help save you time and money on the delivery fees every month.

For those really busy weeks and days, there are some super convenient delivery options that you get reduced fees on as part of the Delivery Unlimited subscription.

I was thinking of having some friends over for dinner (this was before the current outbreak and lock-down orders!) but I hadn’t bought anything to suit a dinner party in my weekly shop. I love the Delivery Now option, and the idea that I could jump online and order what I need to entertain to be delivered in under two hours for a small extra fee!

Seven TIPS ON HOW TO ORDER GROCERIES ONLINE FOR DELIVERY

I tell everyone that will listen that they should give online grocery shopping a go. Here are a few of my tips:

1. Download the Woolworths App to Your Phone

You can order your groceries online straight from the  app on your phone which makes it so easy and means you can do it anywhere anytime! The app even has a barcode scanner option to quickly add products that way.

2. Take your time to perfect your ordering system

It took me 3 goes to fine tune my online ordering process, so give yourself time to learn and understand how to order online. The very first time you set it up may take a little time but once you’ve done it, it is so easy!

3. View their catalogue online

When I first start my ordering process I start from the catalogue, which comes out on Mondays before the specials start on Wednesdays. I  add to the cart all the specials I want as I base my weekly meal plan on these specials to save money on my grocery budget.

4. Add notes to items

For example, I like to receive a few green bananas so I know they last through the week, and if I know I am making a mince dinner 5 days from my order date, I add a note asking for the expiry date to be beyond that date of 5 days.

5. Create lists

This is the biggest time saver when it comes to doing your orders each week. It may take time to create lists to help make shopping easier, but the time is well worth it. I have set up lists for the items I have to buy periodically. And items that I only buy once a month.

Below is a screen shot of my personal lists and how I have broken it down:

6. Use The Organised Housewife coupons for further discounts

Periodically you may find some great Woolworths coupons on The Organised Housewife website, check regularly here

7. Call the Customer Care Line

If you need any help with your order or online account, Woolworths has a dedicated priority customer care line for Delivery Unlimited subscribers. The call line provides a fast service if you need any help, and such a great feature of the subscription.

Try it for 30 days, hopefully you find it helps save you time and money too!

If I win the e-gift card I would share it with my family. We would do something fun as we are from Melbourne and now with our 6th lockdown, life hasn’t been great. Would be nice to be able to have a family weekend away when we are allowed.

You’re the second person I’ve heard rave about it this week so have signed up to give it a whirl! With kids home in lockdown and less time to shop, timing couldn’t be better.

I have just started shopping online with Woolworths & I have defineately saved money, it stops me from browsing the isles & buying things I don`t really need. And of course more time for me!! When I win the ecard gift I will spend it on a family outing once we are out of lockdown.

If I win the e-gift card I will share it with my mum and my kids and go out together. As due to all these lockdowns we haven’t seen my mum and the kids miss their grandma and it would be nice to spoil my mum and the kids with a day out together when all these lockdowns lift. Stay strong everyone xx

I just joined due to lockdown. A pleasant surprise from our new subscription is how much better we are eating during the week as we have supplies and there isn’t the excuse (for many reasons) to grab takeaway. It has actually made me think more about meals and reignited my passion for trying new recipes. Due to a recent allergy diagnosis Woolies has also been my go to as I navigate a gluten free life. So many yummy options!!! The e card would further inspire my passion to try new foods and keep my family eating better and fresher!

If I won this E-gift card I would shower my mum with beautiful food she does not need to prepare. She has just had open heart surgery and I can not be in hospital with her or care for her in her home. So little surprise gifts to brighten her day will be my way of caring from afar. ??

To win this gift card would mean I can do a massive cook up & give meals to families who are struggling. I was just recently in hospital for 9 days (pancreatitis & gall stones) and our church community cooked up meals for my husband ans kids while I was in hospital. Now I would like to repay the favour as it was the biggest help ever & one less stress.

Reading and implementing this post is life changing! My first baby is due in the next few weeks and the thought of going grocery shopping with in late pregnancy or with a newborn during a pandemic (hello from NSW!) is so stressful. If I won, I would use the gift voucher to help grocery budgeting, taking the pressure off the savings while transitioning to maternity leave. I’d also indulge in some fancy soft cheese! Thanks for creating such a great competition!

Started Click & Collect in Sydney when lockdown started (and loving it!). Never thought about delivery for some reason. I’m sure this will save me even more time during the week. If I win the egift card I will share it with Mum. Between her broken foot and me working in aged care, this will be super helpful to ease our budgets and hopefully spend more time with each other (once lockdown ends). Stay safe everyone x

If I won, I’d love to share with my dad. Living on his own he doesn’t always eat the best and look after himself so I’d love help fill his cupboard with nutritious foods and of course some cleaning items to help make his everyday life a bit easier

I would share it with the playgroup that my 7 month old and I attend. The ladies running it do not receive government funding and rely on a gold coin donation from parents upon attendance. Playgroup has been wonderful for my son to interact with babies and for myself to meet people.
They cover the cost of hall hire, toys and refreshments for the parents. They are truly amazing people!

My boys xx They are young adults and eat me out of house and home!! Love them to bits though, and will never complain that they empty my cupboards as long as they keep coming over to visit ? It’s really special when we can all sit down together and share a meal.

Would love to win the e-gift card. Being a new mum with a gorgeous little boy i have found ordering groceries online a dream and was an added bonus with the subscription :). I find now buying things just because but streamlining what we need for our little family :).
The e-gift card would help us out a lot during this lockdown, but would also share it with family. they have been essential workers during this time and would it would just make that task of groceries a bit easier and perhaps just simply suprise them with some groceries delivered with some key items for them to cook up for a family dinner on zoom (we would all have to cook the same meal – lol )

I’m excited to try delivery unlimited and save some money on delivery. Let’s face it, in lockdown grocery delivery is one of the high points of the week! If I won the voucher I would share it with the grandparents, who are facing their own health challenges and sadly haven’t seen the grandkids for 8 weeks. They absolutely love coming to ours for a big feast, board games and a cheeky whiskey. In fact I don’t think we have ever offered them to spontaneously stay for dinner and they’ve said no! ?

If I was to win this I would share it with my best friend. She is pregnant and still going out and doing her shops physically because of the delivery delays. She even smashed her phone the other day when she dropped it doing her QR check in!

If I am lucky enough to win the Wish gift card I would share it with my mum who is down in Sydney in lockdown, it will hopefully allow her to shop online for a Woolies delivery order and save her having to brave public transport. Very glad I live in QLD.

I would share the Woolies Wish gift card with my adult Daughter who has a progressive Neuromuscular condition. She is at her happiness when we are cooking and the love of food brings her so much Joy. We would together select the recipes and order what is required for the week online and with the 30 day delivery trial have our order home delivered ( as getting to the shop to do the shopping is becoming difficult).

Robyn August 27, 2021 - 9:37 AM

I’d share this with my daughter. We usually help her out with her toddler son but with our 6th lockdown she’s had to do it without our support. In a small apartment and with playgrounds shut it’s very hard. She’s done a great job trying to keep him occupied and entertained. But winning this will mean any grocery money for the month can be spent on some more activities to keep her sanity intact and hopefully distract him enough that he doesn’t sadly continue to keep asking to come visit us when he’s too young to understand why we can’t catch up at the moment.

I am very excited to receive my first delivery after signing up. If I were to win the gift card, I would share it with my Dad who has been juggling being isolated due to lockdown, working as a nurse in the emergency and ICU departments of his hospital and caring for his mum (my Grandma) since lockdown began until she just recently passed away. Hopefully he could use it to do some online shopping and gain a little bit of time to do something for himself.
