Do you drink enough water? I struggle to drink my 8 recommended cups each day. It’s also easy to lose count on how many you have had. I have tried otehr methods like tallying it on the fridge but it just doens’t seem to work. Now, I use this great way to encourage myself to drink more water:
- Fill your water bottle up
- Wrap 7 hair ties or rubber bands around the bottle
- Remove a hair tie each time you refill your bottle (I have a Tupperware drink bottle, I put my hairties into the base)
- By the end of the day you need to have removed all hairties.
Tips to improve your water intake:
- Have a glass of water after you wake up.
- Have a glass of water with each meal during the day, breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks.
- When you are craving something sweet instead have a drink of water.
- Big drink of water on every hour
- Try adding ice to your water, cold water tastes better.
- Add some lemon or lime to enhace the taste
- Have a glass of water before a can of softdrink

I've seen this tip before – I think via Flylady – but works so WELL with the tupperware drink bottle. What a shame my DD recently lost the bottom of mine :-(. It would have been good to finally have a use for that bottom part :-).

Such a great idea. I need to drink more water, I have an addiction to caffiene and need to stop drinking so much soft drink.

Awesome idea I always take for granted I drink enough water but I know somedays I certainly dont. I have a tupperware bottle too so I have already started using your awesome tip!! Hey girls who drink too much soft drink perhaps you could give yourself a visual and get an empty container and each time you have a can of coke add 9 teaspoons of sugar to the container and see what it looks like at the end of the week it might shock you into cutting back or giving it up completely 🙂
Ooh now that is a really scary thought to put the sugar into a glass, but certainly good to look back and see what you have consumped, great idea.

I am doing the 12WBT, and have been drinking 2 litres a day just before we started… I have a 1.5 litre bottle that I drink and then add 500ml when I have emptied the bottle.. IIt looks like a lot, but its not once you get going, and your skin feels soft I feel less bloated… Dehydrated bodies dont burn fat!

Love this idea! I have found the tally system works for me but I am reminded to have a drink every time I go to the loo.
I got a 1.7 litre water bottle from aldi and I love it. It was around $7. I drink that every day plus a 600ml bottle and I know I am good to go! I think they called it a desk water bottle. They have them once or twice a year.
I usually drink around 3L a day depending maybe an extra 1L if I am at gym. This amount is not good for everyone and I have built it up over a few months drinking more and more until I know how much I need to drink to be my healthiest. This is a great tip! Infusing the water works well for my mum too. Im lucky I like the taste for cold pure still water (I know warm water is best but I cant drink it warm).
