There are so many benefits to baking with silicone trays. They are non-stick and easy to clean. Check out the six reasons below on why I love silicone baking trays.
I wasn’t a fan of the idea of baking with silicone when I first heard of it, quite a few years ago now! The first few trays I experimented with were very wobbly and floppy. However silicone bakeware has come a long way, and there are now trays that have steel reinforced frames inside. No more wobbles! I am an absolute convert and prefer to bake with silicone trays. Because I love them so much, I have a range of the high quality silicone bakeware, with the steel reinforced frames, available at Organised HQ.
I love that silicone trays are non-stick and that items cooked in silicone release easily from the sides, plus how easy to clean they are. Check out all the benefits to baking with silicone below.
Easy to Clean
Because silicone trays are non-stick, so the food doesn’t get baked on like with metal trays. Cleanup can be completed in minutes with just hot soapy water or you can pop them in the dishwasher.
No Baking Paper or Patty Cases Needed
There’s no rubbish created when you bake with silicone trays. You simply don’t need to use or buy baking paper and muffin cases anymore to line your trays, as the food won’t stick to silicone trays. A win for your grocery budget and the planet.
TURN OUT YOUR BAKED GOODS WITH EASE
Have you ever baked something in a normal metal tray and it has just completely stuck? With silicone baking trays, your baked goods pop out easily. My tip is to let your items and the tray cool for 5-10 minutes, then press up from the bottom to pop your item out. Plus you can bake items with a specific shape or pattern like Madelines much more easily and retain the correct shape with silicone baking trays.
STURDY AND DURABLE
Food is Baked evenly
Silicone Baking trays heat and bake your food evenly. Unlike metal trays you won’t get overcooked and hard edges. Plus because silicone cools down so quickly, it won’t continue to cook in the after you remove it from the oven.
So Versatile
Silicone baking trays come in such a range of different shapes and sizes to inspire your creativity when baking. Because you can use them in the oven, fridge and freezer, there are so many different ways you can use them. Think moulding jellies or frozen desserts among other uses. Baking different shaped items like domes, mini muffins and mini loaves are so much easier in non-stick silicone trays, as there is no messing around with greasing or lining trays.
