I’ve been roadtesting the ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 MAX PRO OMNI for a while now, and it’s had quite the workout in my home with a mix of hybrid flooring, carpets, and rugs, not to mention a furry cat and dog. I run it daily to keep on top of pet hair, and I’ve been impressed by how powerful it is and how well it picks up across different surfaces.
This vacuum was gifted as part of a paid reel collaboration. This review is unpaid and written independently based on my own experience.
My Experience: What Stood Out
1. Powerful Suction
It’s performed really well, especially with pets and mixed flooring. The BLAST (Boosted Large-Airflow Suction Technology) does a fantastic job on both hard floors and carpet, easily lifting pet fur, dust, and crumbs. Compared to my previous ECOVACS model, this one definitely feels stronger and more efficient.
2. Easy-to-Use App
The app is simple to navigate and makes scheduling a breeze. I like that I can set it to clean certain rooms on specific days or times. The ability to adjust suction and mop levels for each area has been really helpful for my mix of flooring.
3. Edge Cleaning
The TruEdge 2.0 feature works well along walls and furniture. It gets close to the skirting boards, leaving very little behind.
4. Handles Pet Hair Well
With the new ZeroTangle 2.0 system, I’ve had no issues with fur tangling in the brushes. It picks up both cat and dog hair easily, even on carpet, and I haven’t had to untangle the brush once.
5. Mop & Maintenance
While the vacuuming performance is excellent, the mopping side could still use a few improvements:
The mop heads are machine washable, but after washing them, they didn’t come back soft and fluffy, they felt a bit like old towels dried on the line.
I’ve noticed my carpets sometimes end up a little damp after a clean. I’m not sure if it’s from the mop passing too close to the carpet edges, but it’s something to keep an eye on.
Water often pools in the base, which can get smelly and is awkward to clean as you have to crouch right down.
I like to rinse out the dirty water tank regularly, but I’ve found it can build up mould if not cleaned often. It’s also not as easy to clean as other models I’ve road-tested, which makes maintenance a little more time-consuming.
6. Rugs & Tassels
The suction power is excellent, but I did find it sometimes gets stuck on one of my rugs that has tassels. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you have similar rugs at home.

Price & Availability
The DEEBOT T50 MAX PRO OMNI retails in Australia for $1,799.
It’s definitely an investment, but for me, the power and convenience make it worthwhile. You’re paying for strong performance and less daily effort, perfect for busy homes with pets or kids where vacuuming feels endless.
The DEEBOT T50 MAX PRO OMNI is powerful and reliable, but it does require a bit more upkeep than some others I’ve tested. For me, the strong suction and pet hair pickup make up for that, but if you prefer something lower maintenance, it’s worth keeping these small quirks in mind.
