The Housemaid by Freida McFadden was an engaging psychological thriller with plenty of twists to keep me on edge. While I don’t have detailed notes since I read this before starting my book tracker spreadsheet, I remember feeling that the chemistry between the main characters didn’t quite land for me, which dampened some of the emotional impact. That said, the pacing and unexpected turns were gripping, making this a solid 4-star read.
