I read Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry while I was sick and honestly, it was the perfect binge read. I was into it right from the beginning, the slow burn worked in a really satisfying way, and I loved piecing together all the little mysteries as things unfolded. The middle dragged a little, but the final stretch absolutely delivered.
