Recently my girls netball club was hosting a bake sale fundraiser, we were asked to bake some cakes, biscuits or sweet treats.  I thought many would make baked items so I wanted to take along some individual sizes packets of goodies so those at netball on the day could eat them there and then. Individual bags of salted caramel popcorn was one of the many items I made.

salted-caramel-popcorn-1I am going through a salted caramel phase at the moment and had been wanting to make some salted caramel popcorn, I was not disappointed.  Serve in a big popcorn bucket, this plastic popcorn box from Kmart, in the party section.

Or to control serving sizes, as it’s so easy to continually eat, serve in individual cups.  Popcorn will last 2 days in the fridge.  Left any longer and the sauce will make the popcorn a little soggy.

For the fundraiser, I spooned popcorn into plastic treat bags and tied them up with ribbon.

Find how to make popcorn at home here simply using kernels, oil and a saucepan, makes this delicious treat that little bit cheaper.

I made my sauce in the thermomix, but I have also included a regular recipe, find extra recipe below.
