{RECIPE} Banana Butterscotch Trifle

Ooh my, this trifle was absolutely delicious.  It was hard to get a good photograph, because when served and spooned into a bowl it’s just a big blog, but wow blob or not the custard, butterscotch and cream all mixed together with the banana and cake tastes so good. My brother popped around when I made this and he was disappointed he wasn’t invited for dinner.  LOL, mean sister, no I didn’t ask him to stay.  This will absolutely be a dessert I will make over and over again.

Hi, got a bit stuck with your banana butterscotch trifle recipe. It doesnt state or imply whether the custard is 500g of straight custard powder? This seemed like a lot, so I thougdistinguish have supposed to say 500ml.

I did a bit of internet searching and found a similar recipe using a 500g carton (premade) which is what I went with. thats an error aswell as cartons onlt come in mls so hard to distinguish which product it’s referring to.

regards,

Marina

Hi, just wondering if the cream/ custard mix is suppose to be thick?

Hi Briode, It depends on the type of custard you are using. I used a cold pouring custard, it had just the right consistency.

Yeah I used the same but for some reason it’s really runny. I was wondering how I could make it a bit thicker?
