Sounds great!
I tried this one myself yesterday and all my guests liked it. The recipe is brilliant, one thing I couldn’t figure out is how to get rid of the greasy stains in my oven, afterwards. I’m thinking of booking a service from http://www.fantasticovencleanersmelbourne.com.au and I could as well combine it with specialized oven cleaning. If you have better suggestions, let me know, because I really can’t remove those stains.
You could try to sprinkle bicarb in the oven and put vinegar in there and turn it on for about an hour so it boiling. Keep checking to see if you need to add more vinegar. I let it cool and then wipe it down. It even got off burnt on grease that was in the oven before we moved in.
Bicarbonate soda leave soak overnight
there are breadcrumbs in the ingredients, but I can’t see where they are mentioned in the method part?
Sorry Mandy, I have just fixed it, I blitzed the breadcrumbs after I processed the chicken mince.
Could you make it without the egg?
Hey, Can you freeze these to use for quick lunches?
Hi, what is the finishing sauce?
Can these be frozen and if so at what stage? Also could I use any type of marinade to make different flavours? Thanks.
Kylie, yes for sure they can be frozen. I would freeze them before they are cooked just so the pastry doesn’t go soggy. I can’t see why you can’t use different flavoured marinades, just a nice variation.
Just to let you know it is not recommended for food safety reasons that thawed pastry is refreezed as it would be if you did it at this step. It is ok to cook then refreeze though
These sound tempting, but I loathe using packet marinades, sauces etc. they are usually so high in sodium. Do you have any suggestions as to what ingredients (and quantities) I can use instead if the Maggi packet?
I myself considering just adding honey, garlic and soy sauce or just salt as trying to keep ingredients as natural as possible, too
The kids and I just made this recipe using honey, soy and garlic and they worked out really well!
Just wondering how much soy sauce, honey and garlic to use if you don’t want to use the finishing sauce?
Great thank you Katrina. I’ll try making a big batch and freezing some in a tupperware container with baking paper between so I can just pull out of the freezer when we want some 🙂
Very nice
It mentions finishing sauce in method but not ingredients. Have I missed something?
I haven’t tried this recipe yet, but it looks very tasty and nutritious. Will certainly make this when I have all the ingredients to hand. Thanks!
