Spaghetti and Meatballs – Fast Midweek Meal

Some nights, you just need a dinner that’s quick, delicious, and comforting. Spaghetti and meatballs is one of those classic meals that ticks all the boxes! It’s hearty, family-friendly, and can be ready in no time. Perfect for busy weeknights when everyone’s hungry, and you’re short on time.

One of the reasons I love spaghetti and meatballs is its versatility. While I enjoy making my own meatballs, sometimes life gets busy, and that’s when I turn to my freezer stash. I always try to keep a batch of homemade meatballs ready to go, just defrost them during the day, and dinner comes together in a snap.

If you don’t have any homemade meatballs on hand, don’t stress! The supermarket has some great pre-made options in the meat section, saving you time without sacrificing flavour. Pair those meatballs with a jar of your favourite pasta sauce or whip up a quick homemade sauce if you have a few extra minutes.

Spaghetti is always a pantry staple in my home, but you can also use other pasta shapes like penne or rigatoni if you prefer. Whatever pasta you choose, toss it all together, and you’ve got a satisfying meal on the table in under 30 minutes.

Would love your recipe for the actual meatballs – it’d be great to have a few batches in the freezer (I need gluten free so the supermarket ones are no good for me).

I ended up mixing up a big batch of meatballs yesterday, as I had just bought mince and wanted to have some ready in the freezer. I’m using 1/3 in your recipe tonight so if they pass the test I’ll post my recipe. I was low on breadcrumbs so they may end up falling apart but we’ll see.
