Mustard and Parsley Sauce

Ingredients

Scale
  • 50g butter
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons wholegrain mustard
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat butter over medium heat.
  2. Sprinkle over flour. Cook and stir for 1 minute or until bubbling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in milk slowly until combined.
  4. Return to heat. Cook and stir for 3 to 4 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in mustard and parsley.
