Creamy Beef Gnocchi


A delicious Creamy Beef Gnocchi recipe. You can’t go wrong with the combination of a creamy beef mince bolognese paired with pan fried gnocchi. This is sure to be a hit with the family for dinner.


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 700g passata with herbs
  • 125g cream cheese, cubed
  • 500g gnocchi
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • 2 cups tasty cheese, grated
  • Parmesan cheese, to serve


  1. Fill a large saucepan with water. Bring to the boil.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook mince, onion and garlic over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until browned.
  4. Add passata, stir to combine. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat.
  5. Add cream cheese to frying pan with mince, stir through until blended into the sauce.
  6. Meanwhile, add gnocchi to saucepan of boiling water. Boil for 2-3 minutes or until gnocchi floats. Drain.
  7. Melt butter in a large shallow frying pan over medium heat. Add garlic and saute 1 minute until fragrant.
  8. Add gnocchi and dried herbs. Saute 2-4 minutes until gnocchi begins browning.
  9. Sprinkle tasty cheese over mince, stir through.
  10. Once gnocchi is browned to your liking, add to mince mixture and stir through.
