Description
A delicious Creamy Beef Gnocchi recipe. You can’t go wrong with the combination of a creamy beef mince bolognese paired with pan fried gnocchi. This is sure to be a hit with the family for dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 brown onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 500g lean beef mince
- 700g passata with herbs
- 125g cream cheese, cubed
- 500g gnocchi
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- 2 cups tasty cheese, grated
- Parmesan cheese, to serve
Instructions
- Fill a large saucepan with water. Bring to the boil.
- Meanwhile, in a large frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook mince, onion and garlic over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until browned.
- Add passata, stir to combine. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat.
- Add cream cheese to frying pan with mince, stir through until blended into the sauce.
- Meanwhile, add gnocchi to saucepan of boiling water. Boil for 2-3 minutes or until gnocchi floats. Drain.
- Melt butter in a large shallow frying pan over medium heat. Add garlic and saute 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add gnocchi and dried herbs. Saute 2-4 minutes until gnocchi begins browning.
- Sprinkle tasty cheese over mince, stir through.
- Once gnocchi is browned to your liking, add to mince mixture and stir through.
