Christmas Popcorn

Need a delicious Christmas Popcorn recipe to make with the kids, and gift to teachers, neighbours, kid’s friends or work colleagues as a treat this Christmas? Here is my favourite recipe!

This absolutely delicious homemade Christmas Popcorn treat is an easy recipe to make with the kids. I like to pop on some festive Christmas tunes, and get creative with the kids in the kitchen, as we whip up a batch and put them into gorgeous unique popcorn bags go gift to our friends and family for Christmas. This popcorn recipe requires only a few readily-available ingredients. I like to add white chocolate melts, mini marshmallows, Christmas M&Ms and sprinkles to my popcorn – but feel free to get as creative as you like with this recipe. My daughter made this one below and added some chopped candy canes too!

Firstly I melt the white chocolate buttons in the microwave, and then pour them over the popcorn.

I then pour the popcorn and chocolate mixture onto a silicone baking tray (or line a regular tray with baking paper if you don’t have a silicone tray). I love this tray because it’s so easy to clean. As you can see the white chocolate does make a mess, but it simply wipes away with warm water and dishwashing liquid… love it! Spread the popcorn out flat on the tray, and then sprinkle with the mini marshmallows, 100&1000s, and the Christmas M&Ms before placing in the fridge to allow the chocolate to set.

This Christmas Popcorn is yummy to have as a treat for guests at Christmas time, or can be switched up with different coloured ingredients and enjoyed all year round! I like to divide my popcorn up into individual bags and finish them off with Christmas bag toppers – it makes the perfect treat bag for gift giving to teachers, neighbours, kid’s friends or work colleagues at Christmas.
