Sticky Rice Bubble Slice

Over the next few weeks I will share with you some of my Christmas Baking.  I have stocked up on the Christmas M&M’s to put in cookies, slices and so much more.   You can find bag’s of Christmas (green and red) M&M’s at Coles in the Christmas section.

Rice Bubble Slice

Rice Bubble Slice

Ingredients
  

  • 60 g butter
  • 1 bag mashmallows I used the berry flavour
  • 1/4 cup butter dry cake mix
  • 6 cups rice bubbles
  • m&m's to decorate

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat
  2. Add marshmallows, use whisk to blend together
  3. Add dry cake mix one spoonful at a time until combined
  4. Stir in rice bubbles, completely coat with marshmallow mixture
  5. Spoon into a baking dish, press
  6. Top with M&M's
  7. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before slicing

I love this one because the original rice bubble slice one I had, included peanut butter which my son is allergic too. Would love to try this one, which must be a lot like those expensive pre-packaged bars on sale at the supermarkets. And the kids could help to make them too!

Just be careful with the marshmallow mixture some dropped on me and burnt my finger 🙁 My kids loved it, was very sticky though.
