Slow Cooked Silverside

Very tender and fuss free.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 corned beef silverside
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • Potatoes, mashed, to serve
  • Mustard parsley sauce, to serve

Instructions

  1. Place silverside in slow cooker.
  2. Pour in vinegar, add bay leaves and sprinkle sugar over silverside.
  3. Use kettle to pour in enough boiled water to cover silverside.
  4. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  5. Remove silverside and slice.
  6. Serve with mashed potato, steamed vegetables and mustard parsley sauce.
