Easy Chocolate Dip

I was catching up with friends recently and we were all asked to bring a plate, which I love doing as it helps the hostess. My friend made the most delicious chocolate dip, served with fruit. The kids and adults all loved it!

Easy Chocolate Dip

I’ve made a variation on my multi-purpose platter, which I love because I can easily put the lid over the top to stop the flies getting into the tip. I including some other dippable, delicious treats such as marshmallows and pretzels, which went really well with cut strawberries and banana.

This is a great bring-a-plate recipe for your next event – and so easy to make!

Another great option is cream cheese made into a slightly sweetened dip. I recently did powdered sugar and lemon, but the options are numerous: honey or maple syrup, cinnamon or even a delicate amount of cardamon would be nice. Served with fruit and ginger biscuits it went down like a treat!

I’m not a fan of microwave cooking. If I did on the stove in a saucepan would I just put all ingredients in and stir until melted and combined?

I used thickened cream but didn’t whip it. Was I supposed to whip it?
