Apple Slice

Apple Slice

Cook Time 30 minutes
Course: Baking

Ingredients
  

  • Vanilla cake mix
  • 200 g butter melted
  • 400 g tin of apples
  • 200 g sour cream

Method
 

  1. Line a rectangle cake tin
  2. Mix cake mix and butter.
  3. Bake on 180 for 15 minutes.
  4. While cake is in oven mix apples and sour cream together.
  5. Place on top of cake mix and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Nutmeg can be added if you like.

do you think i can use fresh apples? i’d like to try… any recipe adjustments for that you reckon?

I’m not certain if fresh apples would work, have a look at Katrina’s recipe she linked it’s a little different looks good

my sister is famous for this recipe…she puts cinnamon and sugar on top and it’s recommend you leave it in the fridge for two days to improve taste…..yeah right! 😛

you can make this gluten free by using a gluten free cake mix!

i love this recipe have it in my cwa recipe book. i add coconut to the base and cinnamon in the apples
