Today is the last day of school before the school holidays start here in Queensland. I’ve been working really hard the past few weeks to take some time away from the blog to spend with the kids, I’ll pop on in the evenings once the kids are in bed to check everything is running smoothly, but I am so excited to have my days free with them. Ultimately that is one of the bonuses of running your own business from home!
I have big plans for these school holidays, along with my typical school holiday tasks, I have a running to-do list not just for me but also for hubby and the kids. There are a lot of jobs I want to do around the house, fix up a few gardens, tidy my wardrobe, I’m considering new furniture for Mr 11’s bedroom as he is getting older he’s outgrowing his current ‘look’ so will need some time to research. As for Mr Organised I have a few jobs that I would really like him to do too. I’m not a nagging wife but I am very impatient, there have been a few things that I have wanted him to do around the house which he keeps forgetting to do so I am going to be really subtle and create a to-do list just for him and put it on the fridge.
Do you love the oven mitt, I purchased it recently from Spotlight, so bright and colourful
I have such a forgetful memory, so I find it necessary to have a running to do list and there is something oddly gratifying about ticking the box once a task has been completed. I don’t try and get through my list all in one day, I have given myself the holidays as my timeline.
I hope you all enjoy your holidays with the kids, find time to relax and laugh and get a few odd jobs done in-between
