{FREE PRINTABLE} April 2013 Calendar and to-do list

The last month has flown by and to be honest even though it has been extremely busy I have had so much fun.  I am really enjoying my studying and I hope you can see some wonderful improvements on the blog over the coming weeks. I had a blast doing loads of Easter baking and crafts with the kids. I don’t really have much planned for April, but to continue to work on my 2o Day challenge e-book and really looking forward to visiting the house of the Dettol Mission for Health competition winner.  Hubby and I will be celebrating our 14 year wedding anniversary next week, we have planned ahead with the kids at sleep overs so we can go out for the night, I’m yet to book somewhere for dinner.

Hey Kat,
Very much enjoying your blog. Great to hear that you and hubby are celebrating your Wedding Anniversary. DH and I have been married for 26 years and we ALWAYS make time to celebrate our anniversaries. This year we left the 3 younger children with a close friend for two nights and we went and stayed in a lovely little resort only 10 kms from home ! We enjoyed lazing around and relaxing – just the two of us. On our anniversary night – we enjoyed a sumptuous 3 course meal from the comfort of our suite. The lady who owned the place set it all up with a table, flowers and candles and it was a very special meal.

For our 25th Anniversary we went on an 11 night cruise – just the two of us – it was magical. It is very good for the children to see that mum and dad need time out too and that we look forward to our times alone as well as together with the family. It might sound old fashioned, but I firmly believe that the best thing you can do for your kids is to give them the security of coming from a happy marriage. Not always easy and sadly, not always possible – but great if you can do it and certainly something worth working towards.

My advice to others is to make arrangements with close friends to babysit for each other for those much needed overnighters / weekends away.

Take Care

🙂
