The Organised Housewife tools to keep your mornings nag free

by Katrina - The Organised Housewife

Some of the most beneficial tools that I have here at home have to be my kids routine charts, eliminating the constant, are you dressed yet, did you remember to brush your teeth?  The nagging, then the rush out the door.  Not only are they a reminder for the kids, they help ME and make it a better start to the day.

The other chart that has helped so much this  year is our responsibility (chore) chart.  I can’t remember the last time I unpacked the dishwasher.  I allocated this job to the kids, each day one unpacks the cutlery, the other the bottom rack and another the top rack.  They do this before they leave for school so I can then repack it with dirty dishes through the day.  If they have completed their responsibility tasks through the week they will receive a tick on the reward chart which at the end of the week is a record for pocket money earned.   Here are some ideas on what responsibilities you can give your kids.

I have had fun giving The Organised Housewife SHOP a makeover, fresh new look. Along with the fresh new look I have also added a few NEW printables.

New Printables available:

Morning Routine Chart – Type 2

Now my children are older I needed to update their chart to include the responsibilities (chores) they need to complete every morning. Along with a reminder for them to open their blinds and windows to let in the fresh air.  See more details here

Afternoon Routine Chart

Includes a handy reminder to empty lunchboxes from school bag and to complete all homework before play.  See more details here

Bedtime Routine Chart

Again now the kids are older they can help more ….  keeping bathroom, toyroom etc tidy.  This is a reminder that this all must be done before lights out. See more details here

Reward Chart – Birdie

A cute little birdie as requested by a reader.  See more details here

More printables coming soon, plus a new planner!!  Please email me any requests you may have, more than happy to make them up if I have time.

If yr in a postion to find this useful..another option would be to Download onto USB, take to Office Works & let them do it on A3 for a few dollars – my printer @ home is almost obsolete despite me refilling with Generic refills – hardly worth the time or supply costs – you can also email thru yr work & have it waiting to be picked up..an excellent service..& nowhere near the 100% increase you mention..

Hi Katrina, love the look of your forms, and your site for that matter. Do you have your own ebook? I also have an organising site named http://routinehabit.com focus’s more on motivation, routines and habits than straight organising. Will be sure to say hi again soon. Oh I’m from the coast too. Living in Brisbane now.
