Quick video to show you how I fold my bath towel.
Pardon my description of folded bath towels as gorgeous, should be described as a neat bundle, but didn’t want to tape again, so gorgeous it is!!

They do look gorgeous. My cupboard’s a mess so this will now be my task for the day! Thanks.
That’s exactly how I fold my towels! My sister taught me when I was around 10 years old 🙂
I just love watching your video hints, keep them coming. You really make my day with all your hints and tips. Thank you so much.
Be still my heart… I have found someone who folds towels just how I do! Some people just don’t get it!
Cheers – Joolz 🙂
Thankyou again – your blog is always helpful!
As others have said, the folded towels do make a gorgeous bundle. My dream is to have a pretty linen closet with everything folded perfectly. I don’t quite make that, though. 🙂
I used to buy linens and towels for a huge retailer in London. We were always taught to fold them lengthways first, to preserve the towels – and all linens actually. Wonder why that was and if horizontal makes any difference?
My arm lengh couldn’t do this, but I wonder too, why??
I fold my towels lengthwise first (then double over, then fold in three to get the same neat bundle). No idea about the preservation issue, but when I change the towels, I just grab in the middle, shake out the three fold and they are ready to simply hang over the rail. I’m short too Kat, but I figure the stretch upwards on the first fold is good exercise! LOL!
Cute little video. I’ve just started my own business selling doona covers. I hate pulling products out of the box because I have to work out how to fold them again. There’s a real art to folding!

That’s for sure Joey, much like a map you can never get it right again.
And here I thought everybody did theirs this way. Of course you hide the edges (that’s my OCD talking) and we have a stack for beach towels, large towels (or bath sheets) and kid size towels. This way the piles are the same size and purpose. I also have another stack for the old towels that are used for muddy adventures and cleaning up messes, etc. The shorter towels have the face washers and hand towels stacks in front of them on the shelf.
Good idea but Anthea Turner does it even better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gF9Fog_NZdg hers show no edges.
I went away for a weekend with my husband last year and came back to my cupboard with towels folded like this. My MIL had a tidy up. It has stayed that way ever since and no more rolled towels to be seen.
That’s a sweet mother in law. I’m going to tackle my Dad’s cupboards and rescue them!
