8 Organised Pantries

by Katrina - The Organised Housewife

I promise I’m going to start sharing details of our house move really soon. But today I thought I would share with you some great organised pantries I have found recently.  I am trying to find some inspiration for my pantry, it’s a little bigger than my last one and the shelves are deeper.

Currently I use plastic storage containers, mainly Tupperware.  I have noticed in my research for organised pantries that many now use glass jars, as they prefer to avoid plastics due to concerns over chemical leakage. This is understandable, but unlike plastic jars you can’t store them on top of each other.  Plastic makes modular storage easily stackable, which is a great use of space.

You can read details of my previous pantry and how I organised it, it was a corner cupboard.

This layout is similar to my new pantry, this classy clutter pantry is so beautifully organised and labelled, they have used vinyl to label all the containers, which make it really easy to find what you are looking for.

One way to make your pantry look pretty, and get extra space, is to layer and stack containers. A great example is Shanty 2 Chic’s beautiful organised pantry!

Just because food is traditionally stored in cupboards, doesn’t mean that it always makes the most sense. I heart organising shows how drawers act as incredible food storage solutions because they provide easy access to contents in both the front and back of the cabinet space.

Categorise food and dining products within everyday plastic tubs to create inexpensive “drawers” that pull out to provide access to the items in the back of the cabinet, great thinking by A Thoughtful Place. Tubs are also a great cabinet solution because they can be easily removed and cleaned or restocked at a moment’s notice.

Thank you to one of our readers cknight84 for sharing her picture of her pantry makeover.  She has used containers from Kmart.

This is a very large pantry, but I’m admiring the drawers I think these would be great in a walk in style pantry, keep all open packets, packaged snack food, kitchen utensils, etc tidy. This is a promo ad for The Container Store, I’m sure no one would really own that many cake stands.
