Hanging Kids Drawings
I have mentioned previously that my Miss 8 has low self-esteem and suffers anxiety. She needs a lot of encouragement and motivation as she finds situations overwhelming. I made some paintings for her bedroom wall as a gentle reminder each day.

However, I want to also encourage my other children. I have found a variety of quotes suitable for children (I will share them with you in Saturday’s post) which I display on a hanger (below) in their playroom. The quote is on their wall for a week or two, then I randomly and unknowingly to the kids change it. They enjoy finding and reading the new ‘words of wisdom’.

Simply using a trouser pant hanger I painted white and a 3M Command hook.

What a great idea. Looking forward to see more quotes on Saturday.
I hope you enjoyed them 🙂
This is such a great idea. I put words of affirmation in my girls’ rooms so they can read in the morning before they face the day, and at night when going to bed – it has such a positive impact on their day. (Love the idea with the coathanger).
Lovely idea, it’s powerful Debbie for them to read and be inspired!
I Love Love LOVE this idea. Katrina! I was thinking of ordering some sticker wall quotes but this makes it so much more fun and affordable.
Easier to change when you please.
That pant hanger idea is THE BEST!!! I’m so in love with it! Thanks for sharing!!
Simple, easy and practical, would love to see a photo if you create one too!
A great example of repurposing Katrina! This solves a little dilemma I have been having with my ‘painting of the week’ system in the kitchen. Thanks x
It would work really well for paintings, great idea!
This is one of the most brilliant, easy ideas I have ever seen. Thanks so much for sharing.
I’m glad you like it
That is truly beautiful. The hanger idea is great too I will do one for eac of my 4 which should save some fridge space lol. But the encouragement you give your children this way is inspirational. Thank you for sharing this 🙂

No worries at all, pleased you are enjoying them
🙂 i LOve this!!! My kids are only 2.5 and 14 months, so i bit young at this stage!
I think i’ll do this for our toilet!! i have lots of quotes on the wall using blu tac, they are coming off and have dogs ears.
It’s such a great place to sit and ponder things 😉
Love the poster. We have painted a section of wall in our kitchen with blackboard paint and write a quote for the week to ponder and discuss….last week was the word “TEAM” standing for “together everyone achieves more”. 🙂 Rachel
That’s really love rachel, I love the meaning you have put with that word!
this is so clever cant wait to go shopping for supplies. Thanks for more inspiration, as we are renting the first time in years our walls look awfully bare. This is a simple way to get around putting no holes in the walls.
I love the 3M hooks, I am forever changing my mind on where I want pictures, this makes it alot easier
Just gorgeous. Might get the kids to write their own as an insight into what’s going on in their minds. Thanks Katrina.
Great idea Anita, help their creative minds too!
I love this idea. Where do you find these quotes from?
