How to Organise the laundry: washing machine supplies

Let’s make washing your clothes a little bit easier by creating an organised laundry cupboard and keeping your washing machine supplies neatly sorted.

Keeping your laundry room clean and organised can be a challenge, especially when you have piles of laundry waiting to be washed, dried, and ironed. But, with some organisation, you can create an efficient, organised laundry space. An organised laundry will make the monotonous task of washing clothes every day that little bit easier

I like to keep all my washing machine supplies organised in the laundry cupboard above my washing machine so they are in easy reach.

STEPS TO ORGANISE the LAUNDRY washing machine supplies

1.

DECLUTTER YOUR LAUNDRY CUPBOARD
Prepare your laundry cupboard by decluttering and removing anything that is no longer necessary. This includes old bottles of detergent, empty fabric softener containers (I’m a fan of using vinegar instead of fabric softener), and any other items that may be taking up space.

2.

CLEAN THE SPACE
Once you’ve cleared your space, clean the shelves, walls and doors thoroughly with a multipurpose cleaner and cleaning cloth.

3.

ADD ORGANISING STORAGE SOLUTIONS
Let’s organise the laundry cupboard!! Adding organising storage drawers, tubs and turntables will help you to keep everything in easy reach. Stacking drawers helps you to maximise the use of space in your laundry cupboard.

Remember, I’m a shortie, so I like to use the turntable as it helps me to reach everything in the corner of my cupboard.

Bins and drawers are ideal for holding smaller items, I use the drawer to hold my laundry washing bags

4.

SORT YOUR WASHING MACHINE SUPPLIES
Sort your washing machine supplies into categories, such as detergents, powders and stain removers. Keep similar items together to make it easier to find what you need and label each container. I have decanted some items into clear stackable containers, this makes it easy to see when they need topping up. But it also makes the cupboard look neat, tidy and organised!

5.

KEEP IT TIDY
To maintain an organised laundry cupboard, make it a habit to put items back where they belong and refill empty containers. This will help you keep your washing machine supplies nealty sorted and make the most of your laundry space.

Creating an organised laundry cupboard is easy with a little bit of planning and time. By decluttering, installing practical storage, sorting your washing machine supplies, and keeping things tidy, you’ll have a clean and efficient laundry space in no time. Keeping things neat and organised frees up time.
