Meal planning means something different for everyone. For busy mum of 3 teenagers, this mum has planned the weeks meals around what the kids can do to help out and get them introduced to skills in the kitchen with different produce, flavours and family favourites.

Oh yes – kids cooking is a must in our house. Especially during the school term. We’re on holidays now, but I’m just so completely whacked, that we’re still doing easy, low-input meals.
Monday: Potato & leek soup, bread rolls
Tuesday: Meatloaf, veggies (I use 1/2 kg mince & add a grated carrot to this meatloaf recipe – the best! https://www.stayathomemum.com.au/recipes/easy-glazed-meatloaf/)
Wednesday: Jacket potatoes with coleslaw
Thursday: Risotto (super lazy – any favourite recipe, but dump in all the stock instead of putting it in one ladle at a time)
Friday: Mediterranean vegetables (this is a tray of things like, potato cubes, zucchini, mushrooms, green beans and red capsicum cut into large cubes and baked in lemon juice, olive oil and Italian herbs)
Saturday & Sunday: We have a couple of events so we’ll be hither and yon.
Thank you Tracy. Hope you get time to put your feet up while your on holidays
These look good (especially the salmon) but I’m disappointed that there are no meat-free meals in this plan.
Thanks Susan, Often when we have meal plans sent by readers I like to go with what they have suggested for, although Thank you, I value your feedback.
