A delicious reader-contributed weekly meal plan that has heaps of variety and tasty recipes to help you plan 7 days of dinners.
This meal plan was shared by a lovely Organised Housewife community member, Cassie Lee, on Instagram. I always enjoy seeing what other families have on their dinner menu for the week. I often find some new-to-me recipes or inspiration to mix up my own meal plans. There’s some delicious sounding recipes on Cassie Lee’s meal plan, I think I will be making the chicken Florentine pasta and beef bibimbap myself soon! I hope you find some dinner ideas yourself from the recipes below.
BENEFITS OF MEAL PLANNING
Each week I plan my meals for the following week, this is called meal or menu planning. Some think it’s not worth it, but it really is a simple task that takes 5-10 minutes to plan one week of meals. The money and time that these five minutes save me throughout my week, makes it well worth the effort.

MONDAY
Lamb Cutlets with Steamed Veg – Cutlets are such a great family dinner option. They are good for young children as well, because they’re easy to hold onto and eat. Cassie Lee is serving hers with steamed veg or you could pair it with a salad too.
TUESDAY
Mongolian Chicken – A flavoursome and easy to make recipe that is ready in under 30 minutes. I would add some vegetables like carrot, beans, capsicum and broccoli as well.
WEDNESDAY
Korean Beef Bibimbap – Bibimbap means “mixed rice” in Korean. Recipes generally start with a bed of rice and a medley of sautéed veggies. Cassie Lee is making a beef version this week. The recipes is topped with a fried egg.
THURSDAY
One Pan Chicken Florentine Pasta – I love one pot meals and the fact that the washing up is so drastically reduced! This pasta dish that Cassie Lee is making sounds delicious.
FRIDAY
Curried Sausages – Cassie Lee is serving curried sausages with mash and veggies tonight. This meal is pure comfort food for me during winter, as it reminds me of my Nan.
SATURDAY
Fend For Yourself – No cooking tonight in Cassie Lee’s household. FFY nights are great for using up leftovers in the fridge and gives the parents the night off from cooking!
SUNDAY
Lasagne and Salad– Lasagne, salad and some garlic bread is big favourite in my household. Check out my easy lasagne method, that drastically reduces the prep and cooking time of more traditional recipes.
BAKING
Rhubarb and Apple Crumble – Cassie Lee didn’t share if she was doing any baking this week. So I thought I’d share my crumble recipe that I’ve been wanting to bake lately. It’s such a yummy winter time dessert.
