Weekly Family Meal Plan #102

Get your week off to an organised start with this 7 day family meal plan that’s bursting with tasty, warm, winter meals that the whole family will love!

This week’s meal plan has a little bit of everything – there’s steak, chicken, bacon, risotto, noodles, even dumplings! All meals are easy to throw together, will save you money at the checkout (this is my number one reason for meal planning!), and will be enjoyed by both the little and the big family members.

TUESDAY

Chicken Kiev with Fries & Veggies – my biggest food saving tip is to shop the sales! I picked up some readymade chicken kiev from the supermarket that were on special, and served these up with french fries and veggies. If you have a little more time to kill, you could have a go at making chicken kiev from scratch.

WEDNESDAY

Bacon and Corn Risotto – risotto is a simple, delicious and very versatile meal. I like to add bacon and a few veggies to mine to turn it from an entree to a hearty main. Combine this with some crunchy garlic bread and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and you have a real crowd pleaser!

THURSDAY

Eggs On Toast – I had the absolute pleasure of meeting up with a friend for dinner on Thursday night, so the family fended for themselves and had eggs on toast.

FRIDAY

Pan-Fried Dumplings – I love dumplings! My family will eat these babies just by themselves with a little dipping sauce. I pan fry the dumplings, then add water and cover to steam them. This leaves them deliciously crispy on the bottom and soft on the top.

SATURDAY

Chicken Schnitzel Sub – this meal was so easy, and so yummy! We simply combined chicken schnitzels with a supermarket coleslaw and garlic sauce, then served them on hot dog rolls. They were very tasty!
