Thankyou everybody for your support the last few day’s, I couldn’t believe was a hassle it was to change software over.Ā  Thankfully we are up and running again.Ā  Your emails and facebook messages were so lovely, thanks again šŸ™‚

I really wanted to share this lunch box with you.Ā  Thankyou to reader Gillian sending in a picture of your son’s lunchbox.Ā  Gillian’s son is on a strict diet, he must avoid food colours, additives & preservatives to avoid ADHD.Ā

Lunchbox contents:

  • Old Time Bakery Gluten Free wraps (from Mrs Flannerys) filledĀ with creamed cheese, sliced chicken, grated carrot, & sprouts.
  • ‘Stickies’ – beetroot, black olives, mushrooms, and cubed chicken.
  • Gluten Free pretzels.

More FoodsĀ Gillian uses:

  • KumutĀ Bread which has very low-levelĀ gluten (costs $6ishĀ per loaf) – I buy the bread from Mrs Flannereys.Ā  Kumut is related to wheat but not an issue for him or me as we are both wheat intolerant.

any tips on how to keep the apple from browning?

I leave the skin on the apple and cut into pieces. I also use the same Tupperware lunchboxes that Gillian has used in the photo and find the apple only slightly discolour. If it's eaten in the first break it's will be fine.

sprinkle slightly with lemon juice or other citrus juice and either leave or use thin paper towel to pat a bit dry … hardly adds any flavour to apple

Absolutley you don't realise until you start reading the ingredients how bad some foods actually are.

Find and pick some good things from you and it aids me to solve a problem, thanks.

The wraps look good.Ā  I can’t tell you how many different brands I have bought and they just break apart as soon as I try to roll them.Ā  Will head down to Mrs Flannery’s this week

Great to see a gluten free lunchbox. As a mum of 3 gluten and dairy intolerant children lunches are my biggest headache. I also happen to live in central QLD so my choices are limited, thanks for giving me some more ideas.
