What a day it is here on the Gold Coast. Kids have a pupil free day from school, would have been a perfect day for them to play outside with neighbours, but it’s been raining all night and looks to continue.
So what’s on our agenda today then:
- Bake some yummy peach muffins with the kids, i’ll share recipe soon
- I have been through the house and want to sell a few things so I might try to create listings for ebay (as well as a garage sale, ebay is a great way to make a little money from things the kids don’t need anymore)
- Prepare slow cooker dinner for tonight
- Play a board game and do crafts with the kids, perfect weather for it
- Plan my how to get kids organised in the morning post, hoping to post it tomorrow, so stay tuned!!
- Do some ironing while I watch a show with the kids
- Take kidlets to their karate lessons this afternoon
Here’s is this week’s lunch box idea:
- Pumpkin Scone with honey (from the freezer)
- Cheesy Rice Crackers
- Babybel cheese
- Vegemite sandwich
- Mandarin

I never thought to freeze scones with the filling already inside. What a brilliant idea.
Saves more time!!
Love your lunchbox ideas and that Tupperware lunch box looks brilliant. I’ve just recently had to start making lunches for pre-school. A whole new ball game for me. I bought a Nude, it is good, but a little large, and as you mentioned, not as easy to clean as the Tuperware one would be. I’m going to have to seek one of these out.
Oh what type of lunchbox is that? Looks perfect for preschool lunch. The nude ones look too big 🙁
It’s a Tupperware lunchbox.
Debby-Lee, it’s a Tupperware Sandwich Keeper Plus, they have new colours available in their new catalogue, gorgeous pink and aqua. I purchased the nude for my kids this year just to try something different. My preference would be the Tupperware by far, so much easier to clean.
Do those tupperware keepers fit a normal size sandwich? Or do you have to use small bread?
It fits 4 slices of bread, I must admit the rather large slices of bread are a little squishy. But the regular tip top, woolworths bread and bread from the bakery all fit perfectly!
