As I have mentioned previously we don’t ‘do’ Valentines Day here. But… maybe I’m wrong, maybe ‘I’ do do Valentines, I like to put a little note in the kids and hubbys lunch boxes along with a little red heart chocolate. Just something simple to let them know they are loved. I’m actually going shopping this weekend with mr 10 as he wants to by his ‘girlfriend’ a card and small gift (ooh too sweet).
I recently found a pin on Pinterest showing how to make heart shaped cupcakes and really wanted to try it. Perfect little cupcake for valentines day!!
I used a Greens Golden Butter Cake packet mix to make the cupcakes. Line tin (I use a muffin tin) with patty cases, fill cases with cake batter, add a marble to each muffin hole to indent the case into a heart shape.
Ice and decorate
Tried, tested and worked!! They look so sweet! So maybe I do do Valentines Day after all 🙂

These look fantastic. I am going to make them for my youngest daughters birthday next month. I have only recently started following your blog and LOVE it!!!! I am even keeping up with the daily tasks.
They really are cute, great idea for a girls birthday party.
I tried the heart shaped cupcakes but they did not come out that way . do you only use 1 marble? Do you put it in the pan before the batter or after?
These look amazing!! I might give them a go this weekend. Now to find a marble substitue..? 🙂
