if my wardrobe knows what good for it, it will transform itself into the black one above between now and when i go to it next, lol
While they look fantastic they look like wardrobes that scream of LIVE IN HOUSEKEEPER!!! It does remind me of the SATC 1 movie and when Jess get that new wardrobe in her new apartment with Big.
who has that many shoes ?!?!!
hi kat, these days you have been posting some interesting pictures but sorry to say, this one looks unrealistic and perfect for magazines only. Infact these wardrobes look more like posh boutiques and designer shops. Honestly i would never like to have my wardrobe to be so much full of stuff stuff and stuff. less is more I believe. When we have bigger houses we end up creating bigger mess (as said by Anthea Turner)
I had the same thought…they remind me of shops….sooo many hand bags. They are inspirational though. I think I would be ashamed to have sooo many clothes though 🙂
Oh wow, how do we organise the person to come and arrange that!!! PS Love all those shoes!!!!
Agree with boutique comments, while every room is undoubtedly beautiful, and I certainly wouldn’t say “no” if offered one, I suspect the time, effort and mental energy to maintain it would be a bit much. Now that level of detail in a study, library, craft room etc. is another thing 🙂 I enjoy your blog every day, thanks for the work you put in, Toni
OMG I want the ones with all the shoe storage do you think my husband would extend the house so I can have the walk in of my dreams? neeerrrr don’t think so
WOW!!!! Dont I WISH I had that many clothes and closet space! This is toooo unrealistic to me! This looks like a celebritie’s closet!!!
Who has that many clothes and shoes? As beautifully displayed as everything is I am a big believer of less is more, it’s not hard to maintain a lovely organised attractive space when you dont have an awful lot of things, but the things you do have you love!
Happyhousewifey, I think my daughter does. Sometimes think I should have named her Imelda:)
I’m getting similar to the 6th photo. I have tonnes of clothes and shoes (I so need to do a clean out once we move back in). I think the other ones are way too over the top, I do adore the Elfa walnut one, if we weren’t getting ours made. I can’t wait 2 more months (hopefully) visiting from http://fattyfintoskinnyminnie.blogspot.com.
Love it!
I have the second last wardrobe system. The great thing about it is that you can build it as you go! You don’t have to get it all at once!
i would really love to see some realistic wardrobes and storage ideas for the average family with 4 kids…
Please please can I have the last one. Luv it.
I actually hate all the pictures! Why do people think all the clothes and shoes are necessary. No wonder people are drowning in debt. The second picture is shocking! She has every colour of the rainbow just in tops!
The second one got me as well… who needs 7+ yellow tops? Honestly.
It would be lovely to have more room and proper areas to store things like shoes as our current built in wardrobe is seriously lacking and we can find things due to the rediculous L shaped layout.
Wow. I find these images really disheartening. Is this kind of ostentatious display of frivolity really what we should be encouraged to aspire to as a society and as individuals? All I can think when I look at these wardrobes is the hundreds and thousands of dollars sitting there (probably largely unworn) in specifically designed wardrobes to hold it all when millions of people world over don’t have enough bare warmth or food to sustain them. How much better could the world be if we only bought what we needed and shared what we have with those who need our help? Not to mention how much longer our precious resources and our planet would be sustained. It makes me sad that we as a society believe that excessiveness of such possessions is important.
Interesting wardrobes… as an average housewife, trying to make ends meet with little children on very little I can’t say I’ll be aspiring to any of these (my jeans and sneakers just wouldn’t quite look as cool as all those heels and beautiful coloured garments). I’d love to see some ideas for something that’s not walk in and makes a normal size wardrobe work effectively. Pleased to read that some folks found it helpful 🙂
Unrealistic? Possibly, Inspiriring, yes. The clothes look awesome all colour co-ordinated like that. I’ve been wondering what to do with all my shoes and my wardrobe looks a lot like the first one so the wall at the end could be a great place to put them. I also love the rug idea too. Just because we dont all have millions of dollars and a housekeeper doesnt mean we can’t pinch the ideas of those whove had the professionals in to really think about how the space could be used.
I just want that chest of drawers in the 3rd pic!
