Easter Hat Ideas for Kids Easter Bonnet Parade

Easter is approaching!! Well, if you’ve seen the grocery stores hot cross buns and Easter eggs have been out since the new year. Although, it’s now that time of year that parents need to start planning some ideas with the kids to make a fun and creative Easter Hat to present at schools Easter bonnet parade.

My kids are past this point in their adolescent childhood, but when they did participate in Easter bonnet parades it was so much to create hats with them.  However, I had 3 young kids and know what it’s like to come up with individual ideas for each of them, that’s why each year I like to put together a post with creative ideas to inspire you.

I have shared Easter Hat Inspiration blog posts since I first started this blog, you can check out my past creative ideas here.

I truly want to thank some lovely members of our community who sent me photos of their kiddies Easter hat creations, we truly have some clever chooks (my mum used to use that phrase ‘clever chooks’) amongst us, which shows they love getting their craft on with the kids!  I hope you enjoy some of these ideas from readers and others I have found online.

Linda made this Easter hat for last years school parade. Hat, tinsel, foam eggs, bunny & chick all from the Reject shop. She used a hot glue to attach the items. She says “making decorations for Easter is so much fun.”

This was the Easter hat Tanya made for her niece in 2013.  Tanya used a bike helmet as it was more stable and allowed her to show it off while riding to school. She was absolutely smitten with it. Didn’t take it apart for months. She won a prize too so she loved that. Took a few hours to do
