It’s the festive season which means Christmas will be on our doorsteps ooh so soon. The lead up to the big day is always exciting with many local attractions putting on Christmas displays and lights and there is nothing better to create a little excitement with the little ones than taking them to a live Christmas show or concert. Here are our Must-See Christmas shows happening around Australia in December.
Wiggly Christmas Big Show
The Wiggles are back with their annual Christmas Concert for 2017. The Wiggly Christmas Big Show kicks off this weekend in Perth and will travel around the country until their last show in Sydney on the 23rd The show will include everyone’s favourite songs including the much loved ‘Go Santa Go!’ as well as a jam packed concert filled with entertainment from The Wiggles and their friends, the Wiggly Dancers, Santa and dancing reindeer.

Jay Laga’aia Classic Christmas
Jay Laga’aia brings the magic of Christmas to the Sydney Opera House this Nov/Dec with the Jay Laga’aia Classic Christmas. The concert will introduce little ones to classical music and Christmas carols featuring a live ensemble. After singing along to ‘Jingle Bells’ and other Christmas favourites, the little ones will get the chance to meet the musicians.

Santa’s Got a Brand New Groove
Get dancing with Lah-Lah this Christmas at their Santa’s Got a Brand New Groove Christmas Show! Lah-Lah and the gang are ready to spread their festive cheer in this brand new Christmas Show. Lah-Lah will get everyone up dancing to their much-loved tunes as well as a special visit from a man in red who has been practising his trombone so he can join the band!

Carols in the City.

Carols in the Domain returns for another successful year at The Domain in Sydney on the 17th This is one of the best concerts on the family calendar with a variety of Australia’s best performers. This year there will be a special performance by the cast of The Wizard of Oz as well as Dami Im, CDB and Santa himself!

The Snowman
Raymond Briggs classic tale of The Snowman comes to life with the help from a live orchestra at the Melbourne Recital Centre this Christmas. As the animated film is projected onto the screen the live orchestra will accompany the film playing along to the gorgeous music composed by Howard Blake. This is one event that every family should see at least once at Christmas.

Carols By Candlelight
Vision Australia’s Carols By Candlelight at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl is the best concert to get kids into the Christmas spirit as you count down the hours until the man in red visits on Christmas Eve! The Nutcracker Ballet
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a performance of The Nutcracker ballet over the festive season.
