Who doesn’t love a little treat at Christmas time? My boys love to help me in the kitchen, but at ages 4yrs, 3yrs and 1yr old – I don’t particularly want them operating the oven or using sharp knives.

This delicious Christmas treat is one part cute, one part healthy, one part child-friendly and one part Christmas magic!

You can make your own pikelets, but you could totally use store bought pikelets if you didn’t have time to whip some up from scratch. You can choose to top your pikelets with any nut butter or chocolate based spread. My kids will even devour them with a little avocado chocolate spread (yay for an extra serve of veggies for the day).

Depending on the ages of your children, you may wish to cut the strawberries into ‘noses’ for them or allow them to do it themselves.
