Easter school holidays are upon us for most of the kiddies in Australia which is usually a great time to do some activities/crafts, bake up a storm and/or snuggle on the couch to watch some movies, a perfect way to spend time with the kids. I’m always up for a good movie, great way to sit back and relax from the busyness of the school term.
If your little ones are Disney Planes fans, they will enjoy some of these fun-filled school holiday activities below.
Don’t forget to download the School holiday planner to organise all your events, activities and playdates over the school holidays.
Disney Planes Cupcakes
Fun Disney Planes decorated cupcakes, the kids and I had so much fun putting this together. If you have a go I would love to see your creation, use hashtag #PLANESAU sharing your iamges on facebook or instagram (my username is organised_house).
We started with some muffin sized cupcakes (find recipe below). Use patty cases to match the colour of the Disney Planes, these cases are from Coles.
Butter cream icing coloured to match the characters, black, green, white, orange and red. Find buttercream icing here
To make Dusty I covered a white patty lined cupcake with orange icing, then placed on a marshmallow, covering it with icing apart from the eye area. Add on 2 mini m&m with icing behind to hold
Make wings by cutting a wafer biscuit. I’ve learnt after making the planes that I have put the wings on backwards… woops, still looks really good! Then press the wings on top of the cupcake.
Add some black gel around the eyes and make a smile, plus add red eyebrows
To make Ripslinger I iced the cupcake with green icing then added black into the middle, then covered the marshmallow with green and black icing.
Pipe black around the eyes and add in some flames
Fluffy clouds made with fairy floss
