Most of these tasks will be easy, from light switches to toys, towels to stinky shoes, cleaning many of the forgotten areas or things in your home. View previous cleaning tasks here.
Set yourself up with a cleaning kit to help you through the challenge, you will find what I keep in my cleaning kit here and use these cleaning checklists to help you remember regular cleaning tasks and create a routine to suit the time you have available.
This weeks cleaning task:
Clean door handles
Like light switches, door handles are touched so often and as you can imagine dirt and germs will be left behind ready for the next person that touches it. Cleaning door handles can be a forgotten task, not making it to your regular cleaning routine. A good idea is to swiftly walk through the house next time you are stuck on the phone and give them all a wipe over, it won’t take you very long at all.
I am asked regularly how often shoudl this task be done? I wipe over our door handles once every one to two months. I don’t include it in my cleaning routine, I usually do it when waiting for something to finish cooking in the kitchen or when on the phone. Or you could add it to the kids chore list, this is a very easy task for them to do!
Steps to clean door handles
Not much to it at all:
- Use a disposable cleaning wipe; or
- Use your homemade reusable wipes.
