Talking with kids about big issue topics like climate change and preparedness for natural disasters can be tricky. You want to be honest and factual but not scary. Using something they find fun like an educational computer game on the topic, like NRMA Insurance’s Climate Warriors, is a good way to initiate these sorts of conversations.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It doesn’t seem that long ago since the Black Summer 2019/2020 bushfires. I remember areas of the Gold Coast Hinterland being at risk and that many of you were personally affected 💛⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It has been a year since I moved The Organised Hou

It has been a year since I moved The Organised Housewife Shop (which we rebranded late last year to Organised HQ) into this big warehouse. Honestly, I always have to pinch myself that this 10-year dream all happened in a matter of months.

Just over 10 years ago I started my blog The Organised Housewife where I have and continue to share all my tips to clean and organise the home, all my yummy recipes I make for my family and so much more. I have not always been organised. I needed to become organised once I had my twins and I really enjoy sharing all my tips on the blog, here on Instagram, and over on Facebook.

You will always see the good and the bad with me and I don’t like to sugarcoat anything.

I created the shop to help share all my instantly downloadable checklists, but it made sense to me a few years ago to add some of my most loved organising products into the shop, then I took the leap and expanded my team to help me manage both The Organised Housewife and Organised HQ. The team help from purchasing, customer service, marketing, writing, design to warehousing. I can’t do any of what I do without them.

We are a team of 9 + 1 on maternity leave and over 2000 products from organising, cleaning, kitchenwares, home decor, and more.

I want to share this post for a few reasons

1. I was talking to someone the other day that didn’t understand how big my business is.

2. Many don’t realise I have the shop side of the business too!

3. I just wanted to shout out to my team who are simply AH-MAZING, I couldn’t do any of this without them and they make it such a joy to share my days with.

4. I also wanted to thank so many of you for your support and shopping with us. Running a small business is hard work, with a lot of dedication and honestly, I am so very very grateful for your support.
