On the weekend I shared a picture of my sliced up watermelon and received a few enquiries. When I get home from the grocery store I cut up most of our fruit and vegetables, which you can read more about here and here. Basically I find that by pre-cutting the fruit and vegetables it is less likely going to go to waste as it is conveniently ready for when I am hungry, wanting to pack kids lunch boxes or making dinner. Plus when I am feeling a little peckish I don’t opt for something naughty and sweet as the fruit is ready to eat.
There are many different ways to cut a watermelon so I have gathered some ideas for you below. At our local grocery store our watermelons come quartered, I slice mine similar to the image below.
