I purchased the ECOVACS DEEBOT T20e Omni during the Amazon Prime Day deals when it was half price. One of the main reasons I decided to buy it was because mopping has started to feel like a full-body workout, and my hips were clearly not impressed. This robot vacuum has been a fantastic solution, saving me from the mop-and-bucket drama and giving my hips a well-deserved break!
The Ecovac DEEBOT T20e Omni picks up pet fur well and unlike an older model I own, the pet fur rarely tangles in the brushes, so I hardly ever need to pull out the scissors for a tedious cleanup. However, I did notice that the edges of my carpet can get slightly damp when the mop heads touch them. This only happens on the edge where I have a lip between the carpet and the hardwood floor, so it’s not a major issue.
One feature I appreciate is the ability to schedule cleaning for specific areas as often as I like. It’s been great for keeping high-traffic zones clean without any extra effort. I also turned off the voice feature, as I found it a bit annoying, but it’s easy to customise the settings to suit your preferences.
As for maintenance, I wash the mop heads once a week, I purchased spares to have on hand, and they come out fresh and ready for use again. I have noticed a bit of water pooling in the base of the machine after mopping, I contacted EcoVac and they said “unfortunately for some of the older models, you may notice some water pooling over time due to DEEBOT cleaning itself”. To keep it clean and fresh, I use a paper towel to absorb the excess water, followed by a quick wipe with cleaning spray. It’s a simple routine that helps prevent any build-up and keeps the base clean.
Overall, the DEEBOT T20e Omni has made cleaning so much easier and more manageable.
